Welcome to Ken's Sushi Masterclass. By booking and attending our workshops, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. About Ken's Sushi Masterclass

Ken's Sushi Masterclass is a professional sushi training programme based in Tokyo, Japan, led by Master Ken Kawasumi. Our workshops are designed exclusively for professional chefs and culinary professionals.

2. Eligibility

Our workshops are open to professional chefs and culinary professionals only. By booking, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings that do not meet our professional standard.

3. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
  • Payment is processed via Stripe invoice in USD.
  • Prices are as listed at the time of booking and are non-negotiable.
  • A booking confirmation will be sent to your registered email address once payment is received.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation by Participant:
• 30+ days before the workshop: Full refund
• 15–29 days before the workshop: 50% refund
• 14 days or less before the workshop: No refund

Cancellation by Ken's Sushi Masterclass: In the unlikely event that we must cancel a workshop, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future session.

5. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

Our workshops take place in a shared kitchen environment. Due to the nature of sushi preparation, we work with fish, shellfish, gluten, soy, sesame, and other common allergens. We are unable to accommodate participants with serious or life-threatening allergies, as cross-contamination cannot be fully prevented. By booking, you confirm that you do not have any serious allergies that would be triggered in our kitchen environment.

Minor dietary preferences may be noted at the time of booking but cannot always be accommodated.

6. Photography & Media

By booking and attending the workshop, participants consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional and educational purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in any published materials, please let us know prior to the session and we will ensure your image is not used.

Participants may take personal photos and videos during the workshop. We ask that you do not publish footage of other participants without their consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All curriculum content, recipes, techniques, and materials provided during the workshop are the intellectual property of Ken's Sushi Masterclass and Master Ken Kawasumi. Participants may use techniques learned for personal and professional cooking purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise our curriculum materials without prior written consent.

8. Liability

Participants attend workshops at their own risk. Ken's Sushi Masterclass is not liable for any personal injury, illness, or property damage that may occur during the workshop, except where caused by our gross negligence. Participants are responsible for their own tools and personal belongings.

9. Code of Conduct

We expect all participants to behave respectfully toward the instructor, staff, and fellow participants. Ken's Sushi Masterclass reserves the right to remove any participant whose conduct is disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
